In view of the proposed march, the Delhi Police on Tuesday directed security personnel deployed at the Tikri, Singhu and Ghazipur border points to stay alert. Tikri and Singhu, two border points of Delhi-Haryana, are sealed with heavy deployment of police personnel and multiple layers of barricades. Tractors and private vehicles driven by farmers are expected to assemble at the Knowledge Park metro station. According to authorities, they would then embark on a march that will pass the India Expo Mart, Sharda University, LG roundabout, Moser Bear roundabout, and conclude at the Collectorate in Surajpur.

To ensure smooth traffic movement, the diversions may be placed from Galgotia Cut, Pari Chowk, LG Roundabout, Moser Bear Roundabout, Durga Talkies Roundabout and Surajpur Chowk, if required, police said. "Emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass safely during traffic diversions. Please use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience and in case of traffic inconvenience, you can contact the traffic helpline number 9971009001," police said in the advisory as reported by news agency PTI.

Thousands of farmers, who began their march to Delhi on February 13, were stopped at the Haryana border, where they clashed with security personnel. Since then, the farmers have been camping at the Shambhu and Khanauri points between Punjab and Haryana.
