In order to avail the services given to farmers, they will now need to register themselves. Farmers' registry will be by combining the land records database of farmers, their buckets (groups) with the same name and their father's name. Once the registration is complete, all the details related to the farmers will be online. They will also get a golden card with a unique ID, which will carry all the desired information will be mentioned.

Through this, farmers will be able to get facilities like crop loans, crop insurance, disaster relief, consultation etc. Only those farmers will get the Samman Nidhi of the 19th installment in December, farmer registration process will be completed.

Farmers Registration Will Begin From July 7

Farmers' registration process will be started from July 1, but this scheme will be formally launched on July 7. Before this, revenue, agriculture and bank sakhis will be trained to feed the desired information on the developed mobile app and web portal.

Farmers Registration: Committee Formed For Training

For the implementation of Farmer Registry, an 11-member district committee has been formed under the chairmanship of DM. CDO is the vice-chairman and Deputy Director is the Agriculture Secretary. A committee has also been formed at the tehsil level. At the district level, the District Information Science Officer, District Agriculture Officer and all Naib Tehsildars have been trained as master trainers.

All of them will now train the personnel selected at the tehsil level in order to avoid any difficulty arising at the village level. Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue S Sudhakaran said that a target of 18 to 19 thousand farmers has been set to complete the registration every day. He stated that for this, camps will be organised in every village, in which farmers will be registered. A calendar will be issued at the district level for the camp.

Farmers Registration: Benefits

District Agriculture Officer Sadanand Chaudhary informed that this will make it easier to get the benefits of PM Kisan Yojana. Farmers will be able to get loans easily. They can also easily be identified for compensation during disasters. There will be no need to run for verification again and again to get the benefits of the scheme.
