The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, will launch the Annual FASTag Pass nationwide starting August 15, 2025. This pass will be valid for travel on all national highways and expressways across the country. However, it will not be applicable for travel between Faridabad and Gurugram, as the connecting road does not fall under the jurisdiction of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), nor is it classified as a national highway or expressway.

About Faridabad and Gurugram Toll 

Faridabad and Gurugram, two major cities in the National Capital Region (NCR) located in Haryana, are connected by a four-lane road that also links to Delhi and includes the Bandhwari Toll Plaza. This road is maintained by the Haryana state government, which also manages the toll collection independently.

List Of Toll Plazas Where Annual FASTag Pass Will Not Work 

Kherki Daula Toll Plaza: Situated on NH-48, it's a major toll plaza on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway. 

Tikri Border Toll Tax: Located on Rohtak Road, near Tikri Kalan. 

Badarpur Elevated Toll Plaza: This plaza is on NH-2, with multiple sections like Jita Kherli Kiranj, Karman, Kathuwas, and Kherki Daula. 

MCD Toll Tax Booth: Located in Madanpur Khadar, near Kalindi Junk. 

About Annual FASTag Pass 

The Annual FASTag Pass facility will be launched nationwide starting August 15, 2025. This announcement was made by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on June 18, 2025. The pass will be valid for use on all National Highways and Expressways across the country.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has clarified that despite being called the Annual FASTag Pass, it does not necessarily provide unlimited usage for a full year. According to the ministry, the pass can be used for up to 200 trips or one year, whichever comes first.
