Flood Alert Live Updates: Amid the ongoing rescue operations, the Yamuna River continues to flow above the danger level in several key regions of Delhi-NCR. The officials stated that many areas are facing a flood-like situation; however, floodwater is gradually receding from the residential areas. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that the national capital is likely to witness light to heavy rain for the next few days. The weather department further stated that several districts of Punjab, including Ludhiana, are set to witness flood-like situations as water levels significantly increase in the Sutlej River.
The weather department has also issued a heavy rain alert for several western and southern states, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Karnataka. The IMD has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
