Delhi-NCR is witnessing various expressway and road connectivity projects. In the latest update, the Haryana government has approved the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG)Expressway.
The expressway is being built to make travel from Faridabad to Noida and Ghaziabad easier. This will reduce congestion and also promote economic development.
600-metre bridge also approved
A 600-meter-long bridge is also proposed as part of this expressway. The bridge is to be built on Yamuna near Lalpur village, in which both Haryana and UP governments will bear 50-50 percent of the travel expenses.
Haryana, UP governments will invest money
To make the journey from Uttar Pradesh to Haryana easier, the governments of both states have made a special plan. The Haryana government has approved the FNG Expressway, the map of which has also been passed.
No direct connectivity between Faridabad, UP
During the discussion on Haryana budget, Minister Vipul Goyal gave information about FNG Expressway. Let us tell you that more than 1 lakh people travel between Faridabad to Ghaziabad and Noida daily for jobs and other works. Currently, there is no direct connectivity between Faridabad and Noida due to Yamuna river.
The FNG Expressway will provide the first-ever direct connectivity between Faridabad and Uttar Pradesh. Currently, they have to travel through Delhi's Kalindi Kunj.
The Noida Authority had prepared the proposal for the project about 20 years ago. Although UP started the construction work, the Haryana government was reluctant till now.
