  1. Headless body found in biryani vessel in Chennai.
  2. Body parts previously found in suitcase on Agra train.
  3. Two suspects identified, believed to be on the run.

Weeks after a woman’s body parts were found stuffed inside a red suitcase on a train in Agra on August 5, a chilling new development has emerged in the case. While the victim’s headless body was found inside a trolley bag, some other body parts were also allegedly found in a large vessel normally used for cooking biryani at a rented apartment in Guduvancheri, Chennai.

Decomposed human body parts packed inside a trolley bag were found in the rear general compartment of Train No. 12621, the Tamil Nadu Express, at Agra Cantonment railway station at around 5 am on August 5. The Agra Railway Police subsequently registered a case and launched an investigation.

As the probe progressed, the Government Railway Police (GRP) and local police traced the case to a rented house in Guduvancheri, where the victim’s body was allegedly found inside a large vessel, while other body parts were recovered from the premises, HT reported.

The deceased was identified as Hayathun Nisha, 38, wife of Jahhur Khan and a native of Jagatsinghpur in Odisha. She was reportedly working at a private firm in the city.

Who killed her?

The suspects include a man and a woman who were allegedly caught on CCTV carrying the red suitcase into Chennai Central railway station before leaving it on the Tamil Nadu Express bound for Agra.

CCTV footage showed a man and a woman carrying a similar-looking trolley bag and boarding the Tamil Nadu Express, which had departed from Chennai Central for Delhi at around 10 p.m. on August 3.

After examining the CCTV footage, police traced the duo and found that they had stayed in Guduvancheri.

A police team later traced the house where the two suspects were allegedly staying on Masuthi Street in the locality and alerted the Guduvancheri police.

During a search of the house, police allegedly found the victim’s body inside a large vessel, while other body parts were also recovered. Police suspect that the victim and the two suspects, identified as Manik Uddin Laskar of Assam and Bhagabati Majhi of Odisha, had been staying at the house. The duo are currently on the run, HT reported.

The victim’s remains have been sent for post-mortem examination, which is expected to provide further clues about the cause and manner of her death.

Police officials also found a polythene bag bearing the word “Chennai” inside the red suitcase, giving investigators another possible link to the city, India Today reported.

Investigators are also trying to determine when and where the suitcase was placed on the Tamil Nadu Express.

Police are also checking missing-person reports and other records as part of the investigation.

The identities and whereabouts of the man and woman seen carrying the suitcase have not yet been officially confirmed. Police have not yet established the circumstances surrounding Hayathun Nisha’s death or confirmed who killed her. The investigation remains ongoing.
