Ganesh Chaturthi 2024: Devotion met grandeur on the second day of Ganesh Mahotsav when 42,000 women devotees performed an enthralling morning Ganpati aarti at the Shreemant Dagduseth Halwai Ganpati temple in Pune on Sunday as festivities take off across the nation. The famous Pune temple reverberated with holy chants as women devotees flocked in to recite the Ganpati 'Atharvashirsha' prayers on Rishi panchani - the second day of the Utsav this morning.
To take part in the grand traditional aarti, which is performed every year in the temple, women gathered at the temple pandal from all across the city in the early morning hours. Last year, a gathering of over 32,000 women performed the spellbinding chants in an opulent display of their affection towards the revered Hindu deity.

Ganesh Chaturthi Festivities In Full Swing Across Nation
Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Ganesha Utsav or Vinayak Chaturthi, is celebrated every year with great enthusiasm and religious fervour to honour Lord Ganesha, the son of Bhagwan Shankar and Mata Parvati. This year the 10-day festival began on September 7 and will continue till the Anant Chaturdashi on September 17.
During this period, devotees bring Ganesha idols to their homes perform Ganesha aarti at home and temples, and seek his blessings. The festival concludes with the procession of 'Ganpati Visarjan' in the running water bodies with a large number of people gathering and celebrating his departure while urging him to come back the next year.
Lalbaugcha Raja Returns In All Its Grandeur
People flocked to see the Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai and offered prayers at the pandal. The temple witnessed a large gathering as devotees came together to celebrate the festival. Situated in Putalabai Chawl and hosted by the Lalbaug Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, this iconic pandal is renowned for its magnificence and the deep devotion of its visitors.
