A boiler explosion at a paper mill in Ghaziabad claimed three lives, leaving one with serious injuries. The incident occurred in a rubber rolls manufacturing unit in the Atrauli area under the jurisdiction of the Bhojpur police station on Friday. Modinagar ACP Gyan Prakash said, "Three workers died on the spot in a boiler blast incident in this factory today."
Those who lost their lives were identified as 48-year-old Yogendra Kumar, a resident of Bhojpur village, Anuj Singh (27) from Modinagar, and 21-year-old Awadesh Kumar, who hailed from Jewar, Greater Noida.
Modinagar ACP Gyan Prakash Rai informed that the bleak incident took place at the Nordstern Rubber and Rolls private limited factory around 5:30 am. Some people were working near the boiler when the explosion occurred all of a sudden, resulting in the death of three.
Along with investigating the incident, police are also checking precautionary measures undertaken by the labourers while working. Some of the labourers raised questions regarding precautionary measures while working. According to a report by the Times of India, workers employed at the factory claimed that the boiler was not functioning properly, and they informed the factory owner as well.

In a similar case, a devastating boiler explosion occurred at the Sijwork ink manufacturing unit on March 17 along the Alwar-Bhiwadi Mega Highway-48, resulting in one fatality and one injury, whilst causing extensive damage to nearby residential areas.
The incident occurred during the dismantling of an old boiler in the premises at 3:30, resulting in the death of a 32-year-old labourer, Sheikh Jamshekh, a resident of Patharia village, Jharkhand. The devastating incident scattered the pieces of the boiler and its components across a 500-metre radius, inflicting serious damage to neighbouring buildings and construction. A wall collapsed and windows of nearly 10-12 houses broke because of the incident.
