Goa Nightclub Fire: Ajay Gupta, the partner of the Luthra brothers, made his first statement on Wednesday after being detained by Delhi Police in connection with the deadly nightclub fire, which claimed the lives of 25 people.

As Delhi Police escorted Gupta from his vehicle, he was immediately surrounded by reporters who questioned him about the deadly nightclub fire, safety arrangements, and the whereabouts of the owners. Speaking to reporters, Ajay said, "I am just a partner. I don't know anything."

About Goa Nightclub Fire 

At least 25 people, including five tourists, were killed in a fire at the popular Goa nightclub ‘Birch by Romeo Lane’ on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. Shortly after the incident, primary owners Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra fled the country on an IndiGo flight to Phuket, Thailand.

An Interpol Blue Corner Notice has been issued against the Luthra brothers, and a Look Out Circular (LOC) was issued against Ajay Gupta before he was detained in the national capital on Tuesday.

In the ongoing investigation into the nightclub fire, the police have so far arrested five individuals: Rajiv Modak (Chief General Manager), Vivek Singh (General Manager), Rajiv Singhania (Bar Manager), Riyanshu Thakur (Gate Manager), and Bharat Kohli.

Luthra Brothers On The Run

Just hours after the fatal fire at the Goa nightclub, primary owners Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, who were in Delhi at the time, fled the country, boarding an IndiGo flight to Phuket, Thailand, at 5:30 AM Sunday, as confirmed by the Bureau of Immigration.

An Interpol Blue Corner Notice has been issued, and police teams from Delhi and Goa are conducting joint raids targeting their associates and properties.
