Goa ZP Election Results 2025 Live Updates: PM Modi Lauds BJP's Victory As Party Sweeps Zila Panchayats

Bharatiya Janata Party has emerged as the single largest party in the Zilla Panchayat polls winning 30 seats out of a total of 50 seats.

In a post on the official X (formerly Twitter) account, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the massive success of BJP at the Goa Zila Parishad Elections.,

The Bharatiya Janata Party + Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party Alliance is looking strong with 30 seats in the latest trend. With a total of 50 seats in the Zila Panchayat, the BJP has crossed the majority mark. However, for the Congress, the Goa Forward Party, Aam Aadmi Party, and Revolutionary Goans Party, it has been an abysmal performance with none of the parties crossing single digit figure.

The designated ST Women reserved seat, Rivona Zilla Panchayat constituency, saw a close contest between BJP and GFP. The seat was won by BJP's Rajeshree Rajesh Gaonkar woh managed 6,329 votes. Close behind was GFP's Sahidnya Santosh Gaonkar who got 6,310 votes.

The Velim Zilla Panchayat seat of the South Goa district was won by Independent candidate John Beda Pedro Pereira.

Dr Gauri Subhash Shirodkar from BJP has won the Siroda (Shiroda) Zilla Panchayat seat of the South Goa district.

BJP candidate Siddesh Shripad Naik has won the Corlim Zilla Panchayat seat.

Bharatiya Janata Party has won the Chimbel Zilla Panchayat seat of the North Goa district. The winning candidate is Gauri Parmod Kamat.

The Reis-Magos Zilla Panchayat seat of the North Goa district has been won by BJP candidate Reshma Bandodkar.

Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) candidate Trupti Vishwanath Bakal is ahead in the St Lawrence Zilla Panchayat seat.

70.81 per cent voter turnout was recorded in the Goa Zilla Panchayat Election. This was the highest since these elections were first held in 2005.

BJP's Poonam Chandrakant Samant has won the Borim Zilla Panchayat Constituency of South Goa. He has secured 4,524 votes.

BJP candidate Mahesh Anant Sawant is ahead in the Karapur-Sarvan Zilla Panchayat seat.

In the Aldona Zilla Panchayat seat of the North Goa district, BJP candidate Subhash Krishna Morajkar is currently leading. 

Shrikrishna Ravindra Harmalkar, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate is currently leading in the Dhargal Zilla Panchayat seat of the North Goa district.

Independent candidate Merciana Vas is currently ahead in the Cortalim Zilla Panchayat seat.

The Dharbandora seat Zilla Panchayat seat of the South Goa district has been won by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Rupesh Ramnath Dessai.

In the Poinguinim Zilla Panchayat seat, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Ajay Lolienkar has maintained the lead as per the latest data.

Congress candidate Anthony Braganza has continued to maintain his lead in the Nuvem Zilla Panchayat seat of the South Goa district.

In the Raia Zilla Panchayat seat of the South Goa district, Goa Forward Party (GFP) candidate Inacina Luis Pinto has emerged as the winner.

In the Nagargao Zilla Panchayat seat of the North Goa district, BJP candidate Premnath Dalvi has registered a victory.

The Barcem Zilla Panchayat seat of the South Goa district has been won by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Anjali Arjun Velip.

The Betqui-Candola Zilla Panchayat seat of the South Goa district has been won by an Independent candidate Sunil Jalmi.

In a huge set back for Congress chief Amit Patkar, BJP candidate Siddharth Dessai has won from Xeldem constituency.

Congress candidate Sanjay Velip has won the Guirdolim Zilla Panchayat seat of the South Goa district.

Mohan Parshuram Gaonkar, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate has won the Sanvordem Zilla Panchayat seat of the South Goa district.

In Nuvem, the Congress is leading with 2,310 votes.

BJP candidate Sunil Mahadeo Gawas has won the Sancoale Zilla Panchayat seat in the South Goa district.

In both Aldona and Dhargal Zilla Panchayat seats in the North Goa district, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates are leading.

Congress candidate Carmelina Fernandes has registered a victory in the Calangute Zilla Panchayat seat of the North Goa district.

In the Taleigao Zilla Panchayat seat of the North Goa, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Raguvir Kuncolencar has won.

As per the latest data, the BJP has won 9 seats. These include:

-Taleigao

-Xeldem

-Usgao-Ganjem

-Sancoale

-Sanvordem

The BJP has maintained its lead with 9 seats in the Goa Zilla Panchayat election results 2025, as of 1:55 pm. Meanwhile, the Congress is in the second spot with 3 seats. RGP and MGP have won one seat each. Independent candidates have also bagged one seat.

In Nuvem, the Congress party is leading with 2,310 votes. In the second spot is the Aam Aadmi Party with 2,067 votes. The independent candidates have together managed 924 votes.

Independent candidate Radhika Paleykar registered a victory in the Arambol Zilla Panchayat seat in the North Goa district.

In the Socorro Zilla Panchayat seat of the North Goa district, BJP candidate Amit Asnodkar has maintained a lead.

In Betqui-Candola Zilla Panchayat seat, independent candidate Sunil Jalmi is leading.

In the Guirdolim Zilla Panchayat seat of the South Goa district, Congress candidate Sanjay Velip is ahead.
