Here Are The Key Takeaways From PM Modi's Speech

- Congress suppressed the inherent talent of Indians by placing restrictions like licence raj, said PM Modi at event in Bhavnagar.

- "Bharat mein Samarthya ki koi kami nahi hain lekin Azadi ke baad, Congress ne Bharat ke har ek samarthya ko nazar-andaaz kiya (There is no dearth of potential in India, but after independence, Congress ignored every single potential of India.)" he said.

- "India must become Atmanirbhar and stand strong before the world. India has no shortage of potential, but after independence, Congress ignored all of India's potential. Therefore, even after 6-7 decades of independence, India has not achieved the success it deserved. There were two major reasons for this. For a long time, the Congress government kept the country entangled in the license-quota raj, isolating it from the world market. And then, when the era of globalisation arrived, the only path to import was taken. Scams worth thousands, lakhs, and crores were committed. The policies of the Congress governments caused great harm to the country's youth. These policies prevented India's true strength from being revealed," he said.

-PM Modi said, "Duniya mein koi hamara bada dushman nahi hai. Agar hamara koi dushman hai toh woh hai dusre deshon par hamari nirbharta (We have no greater enemy in the world, we do have one, it is our dependence on other countries.)"

- Today, India is moving forward with the spirit of 'Vishwabandhu'. We have no major enemy in the world. Our biggest enemy is our dependence on other countries. This is our biggest enemy, and together, we must defeat this enemy of India, the enemy of dependence. We must always reiterate this. The greater the foreign dependence, the greater the country's failure.

- For global peace, stability, and prosperity, the country with the world's largest population must become Atmanirbhar. If we remain dependent on others, our self-respect will be hurt. We cannot leave the future of 1.4 billion countrymen to others. There is only one medicine for a hundred sorrows, and that is a self-reliant India..."

 - 50 years ago, 40 per cent of the country's trade was through India-made ships, which has come down to 5 per cent now, said PM Modi.

- PM Modi said, "From Vishwakarma Jayanti to Gandhi Jayanti, that is, from September 17 to October 2, millions of people across the country are participating in 'Sewa Pakhwada'. I have been informed that in Gujarat, too, a 15-day 'Sewa Pakhwada' is currently underway. Over the past 2"“3 days, many activities have taken place."

- The Prime Minister said, "21st-century India sees the ocean as a huge opportunity. A little while ago, several projects worth thousands of crores of rupees were inaugurated and had their foundation laid here to accelerate port development. To promote cruise tourism in the country, an International Cruise Terminal was also inaugurated today in Mumbai."
