Gujarat: A shocking incident has come to light from Gujarat's Morbi, where a man allegedly struck a deal with his landlord to let him and his relative repeatedly rape his wife and 13-year-old daughter, as he could not pay the rent.

When the wife's mother came to know about the assault, she filed a complaint against her daughter's husband (the tenant), the landlord, and a relative of the landlord at the Morbi police station. Subsequently, a case was registered under various sections of the BNS and the POCSO Act, leading to the arrest of both the husband and the landlord.

Man Lets Landlord Rape Wife, Daughter

According to a report by NDTV, the family, originally from Gujarat's Surendranagar, had relocated to Morbi around six months ago in search of a livelihood and rented an accomodation for Rs 2,000 per month.

However, the family faced severe financial hardship, resulting in four months of rent arrears. In a disturbing solution to the debt, the man struck a deal with his landlord, allowing him to sexually abuse his wife and 13-year-old daughter in place of the pending rent.

The landlord repeatedly raped the man's wife and daughter at his own residence, at the rented house, and in Tankara, while his relative allegedly raped the wife.

When the wife's mother came to know about the assault, she lodged a complaint against the tenant, the landlord, and the landlord's relative at the Morbi City A Division police station. A case was registered under various sections of the BNS and POCSO Act.

Speaking to The Times of India, Police Inspector YB Jadeja said that both the husband and the landlord have been arrested and sent to jail. Police have conducted medical examinations of both the victims and the accused and collected scientific evidence.

A search is currently underway for the landlord's relative who abetted the crime.
