Gujarat Weather: A seven-day weather advisory for Gujarat, Diu, Daman, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli has been issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), warning of extreme heat and dust storm conditions throughout the region. The forecast states that on April 19 and 20, isolated regions of Rajkot and Kutch are anticipated to see heat wave conditions and dust-raising winds across Saurashtra-Kutch and North Gujarat, with wind speeds of 20 to 30 kmph. The state will continue to see dry weather throughout the week.

Hot and humid weather is expected to cause discomfort in coastal locations between April 22 and 24. Under clear skies, Ahmedabad's maximum temperatures are expected to be about 43 degrees Celsius, with no quick respite in sight.

Parts of Kutch have been experiencing heatwave conditions over the last 24 hours, with Thursday's high temperature of 44.6 degrees Celsius at Kandla Airport being the highest in Gujarat.

With 43.3 degrees, Surendranagar came in second, followed by Rajkot with 42.9 and Amreli with 42.5. At 41.8 degrees and 41.0 degrees, respectively, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar continued to be in the extreme heat zone.

The state was experiencing widespread heat, with Bhuj and Deesa sizzling with high temperatures of 41.4 and 40.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Significant variations in humidity were seen in coastal areas, with towns such as Daman and Diu reporting high relative humidity levels (82% and 72% in the morning, respectively).

Inland towns like Rajkot and Bhuj, on the other hand, recorded comparatively lower nighttime humidity levels, which intensified the dry heat. The fact that there was no rainfall overall highlights the current dry weather.
