Gujarat Weather: The monsoon activity appears to be slowing down in Gujarat after an influx of incessant rainfall for several weeks, leading to road blockages, waterlogging, and several deaths in rain-related incidents.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for light thunderstorms with light to moderate rainfall in all the districts of the state.

Gujarat Weather Today: Yellow Alert For Moderate Rain

-The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest weather forecast released at 1 pm on Tuesday, stated that the monsoon is likely to conclude soon as seasonal activity slows down across the state.

-All the districts of the state have been placed under a yellow alert on Tuesday for light thunderstorms with light to moderate rainfall at isolated places with winds at 30-40 KMPH. The prediction possibility of such weather conditions has been placed under the ‘very likely ‘ category. Conversely, IMD has anticipated heavy rainfall in the Kutch district at isolated places.

Gujarat Weather Forecast: Monsoon Activity Likely To Slow Down

Where most of the districts remained under red or orange alert for the last few weeks due to extremely heavy rain and flash flood warnings, the IMD has not put any kind of weather alert in any of the districts of the state for the upcoming week till Saturday.

In all the districts across the state, there will be light rain with thundershowers at very few places from Wednesday to Saturday.

Gujarat Weather In Last 24 Hours

According to the rainfall data released by the State Emergency Operation Center, Gandhinagar, rainfall was recorded in 67 talukas of Gujarat in the 24 hours from 6 am on September 8, 2025, to 6 am on September 9, 2025. The highest rainfall was recorded in Kutch and Vav-Tharad districts.
