Gurugram Road Accident: At least five people were killed and one got seriously injured in a road accident in Gurugram after a Thar crashed into a divider on the National Highway in the early hours of Saturday. While providing details, the police stated that the deceased and injured individuals are yet to be identified. It further stated that the incident took place at exit 9 of the Delhi-Gurugram expressway when the driver of the speeding vehicle lost balance and crashed into the divider.

The officials further stated that while five people got killed on the spot, one man was critically injured and admitted to a private hospital. The accident created panic among the locals and the police arrived at the site after receiving information. "The deceased and injured are not identified yet, while the Thar has the registration number of Uttar Pradesh. We are investigating the matter", Gurugram police spokesperson was quoted as saying by PTI.

Earlier on September 25, at least six people lost their lives while 10 others were injured after a truck collided with a bus in Odisha's Sundargarh district on Thursday, the police officials said. Among the six killed, three were women. According to the information, the accident took place at around 11:00 am on NH-520 near the K Balang police station, they said.

DIG, Western Range, Brijesh Kumar Rai said that five people died on the spot while one succumbed at the hospital while undergoing treatment. "Five people were killed on the spot, and another succumbed to his injuries later. At least 10 people were critically injured," Raitold reporters.

The DIG further said, "The critically injured persons were shifted to a government hospital in Rourkela, while others are undergoing treatment at the Koida and Lahunipada health centres."
