In a major relief for commuters, the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has begun preparations to construct a new elevated corridor at Dadi Sati Chowk, one of New Gurugram's busiest intersections, to tackle chronic traffic congestion.
According to a report by Jagran.com, tenders for the six-lane flyover will be opened in the first week of August. The proposed elevated corridor will be constructed along the Multi-Utility Corridor (MUC), providing seamless connectivity between the Dwarka Expressway and IMT Manesar.
The proposed flyover will stretch approximately 750 metres and feature three lanes in each direction. Designed to streamline traffic movement, it will serve thousands of daily commuters travelling between Gurugram and Manesar.
The project also includes the construction of service roads and dedicated U-turns to improve local accessibility for residents of nearby sectors. It is expected to directly benefit people living in Sectors 85, 86, 89, and 90, while easing congestion across the surrounding road network.

After the tenders are opened, the project proposal will be sent to the High-Power Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC) for approval. Construction is expected to begin immediately after clearance, with the project slated for completion within 18 months.
The flyover has also been designed with future infrastructure in mind. It will integrate with the planned underpass connecting Rampura Chowk and Pataudi Road, while its pillars are being engineered to allow the underpass to be built later without disrupting traffic or requiring major modifications to the flyover.
