Har Ghar Tiranga 2025: As India prepares to celebrate its 79th Independence Day on August 15, 2025, the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign has returned for its fourth year, inviting citizens to display the national flag at their homes. Launched in 2022 under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, the campaign aims to turn the Tiranga into a personal expression of pride and unity.
This year’s drive encourages every household to hoist the flag between August 13 and 15, share photographs with it and earn recognition as a Har Ghar Tiranga Ambassador. Participants will receive digital badges and certificates from the Ministry of Culture.

Har Ghar Tiranga 2025 Volunteer Programme
The Ministry of Culture has also introduced a volunteer programme to increase the campaign’s reach. Volunteers will visit communities to distribute flags, guide residents on proper flag hoisting and encourage uploads of Tiranga selfies on the official portal from August 2 onwards.
Those who complete their duties will receive official certificates, while top contributors will be recognised at state and national events.
Over the years, Har Ghar Tiranga has grown into a nationwide movement, transforming the national flag from a formal emblem into a symbol of personal patriotism.
