The Haryana government has initiated the second phase of plot allotment under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana Urban, aimed at providing houses to tenants and homeless individuals. In this phase, 2927 eligible persons from the Municipal Corporation area will be given plots.

The government has started online booking on the Housing for All Department portal for eligible applicants who registered in September 2023. The list of eligible persons has been shared with the Municipal Corporation, and they have been informed via SMS on their registered mobile numbers.

The last date for online booking is July 15. Eligible persons can book plots by visiting room number 15 at the Municipal Corporation office located at Kanhaiya Sahib Chowk. After booking, provisional allotment letters will be issued, followed by plot allotment.

Municipal Corporation Commissioner Akhil Pilani stated that the scheme aims to provide plots and flats to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families in urban areas who lack their own homes. A total of 10,903 individuals from the Municipal Corporation Yamunanagar-Jagadhari area had registered for the scheme, with 3,139 eligible persons allotted plots in the first phase.

Those who have registered and are eligible can book their plots online before the deadline.

All eligible persons have been informed via SMS on their registered mobile numbers. They can book plots online through the Housing for All Department portal. For those unable to book online, assistance is available at room number 15 of the Municipal Corporation office located at Kanhaiya Sahib Chowk.

The last date for plot booking is July 15, 2025. After booking, provisional allotment letters will be issued, and plots will be allotted through a draw in the Municipal Corporation area.

In the previous phase, eligible persons were given provisional allotment letters in a program held in Jagadhari Grain Market in June 2024. Plots were allotted in Sector 22, 23, 24, and 26 near Bhatauli and Jai City, Jagadhari.

Eligible persons are advised to book their plots before the deadline to avoid missing the opportunity.

The Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana Urban was launched by the Chief Minister in 2023, with Yamunanagar marking the starting point of this initiative. Former Chief Minister Manohar Lal had initiated the application process for plots under this scheme through video conferencing from Yamunanagar.

During the launch, he interacted with beneficiaries from the district via video conference. The scheme targets families with an annual income of ₹1.80 lakh or less, as per their family identity cards, and who do not own a house.

The Chief Minister Housing Scheme Urban aims to provide housing to these eligible families, offering them a chance to own a plot and build a permanent home. The scheme's implementation has been underway, with the government working to ensure that the benefits reach the intended recipients.
