Haryana Agniveer Reservation: The Haryana government on Wednesday announced it would set aside 10 per cent of vacancies for police constables, forest guards and various other state government posts in the favour of retired Agniveers.
"Our government will provide 10% horizontal reservation to Agniveers in Haryana in direct recruitment to the posts of Constable, Mining Guard, Forest Guard, Jail Warden and SPO recruited by the state government," Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said at a press briefing.

Haryana Agniveer Quota: Age Relaxation, Incentives
CM Nayab Singh Saini further announced a relaxation in the upper age limit for Agniveers seeking to apply for Group 'B' and 'C' state government jobs. He stated, "We will provide these Agniveers a relaxation of 3 years in the maximum age prescribed for government posts in Group B and C. In the case of the first batch of Agniveers, this age relaxation will be 5 years."
Saini also revealed the percentage of public sector jobs his government plans to earmark for superannuated Agniveers. "The government will provide 5% horizontal reservation for Agniveers in direct recruitment to civil posts in Group C and 1% horizontal reservation in Group B," he stated.

The chief minister also announced monetary incentives for private employers who seek to hire retired Agniveers. "If Agniveer is given a salary of more than Rs 30,000 per month by any industrial unit, then our government will give a subsidy of Rs 60,000 per annum to that industrial unit," he remarked.
Agniveer Reservation: Quota In Central Forces
The announcement by Haryana government regarding reservation for Agniveers came days after the Centre announced a similar scheme in the context of recruitment to Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Assam Rifles. In line with the Centre's scheme, the CISF, BSF and CRPF announced they would henceforth reserve 10 per cent of vacancies for one or more non-gazetted posts within their ranks for retired Agniveers.
