Heatwave In Delhi: The severe heat wave is wreaking havoc in Delhi, and it is taking a toll on people's health. Three people, including two women, died in Delhi due to the severe heat wave, reports jagran.com. Two patients died in Safdarjung Hospital on Tuesday. Apart from this, a woman died in Delhi's RML Hospital on Monday.
Till now, seven patients have died due to a severe heat wave in the national capital. 19 patients were affected by the severe heat wave, and they have been admitted to two different hospitals in two days. Out of the 19 patients, 11 were admitted to hospitals on Tuesday with unconsciousness and a high fever. Six of these patients are on ventilators.
Doctors say that more serious heat stroke patients are coming to hospitals. Five patients suffering from a severe heat wave have been admitted to Loknayak Hospital in an unconscious state. Two patients are on ventilators in the ICU.
The medical superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Suresh Kumar, said that the three patients admitted to the hospital are elderly people over 60 years of age. The age of two patients is between 30-40 years. These five patients had a high fever and dehydration. Because of this, all five patients were brought to the hospital in an unconscious state. The condition of three patients is stable, but the condition of two patients remains critical.
Eight patients suffering from severe heatstroke were admitted to RML Hospital on Monday and six on Tuesday. A senior doctor at the hospital said that two types of patients are being admitted due to the heat wave. Working people aged between 30 to 55 who work outdoors. This includes security guards and street vendors, who do not take care of their body's hydration. Such patients are brought to the hospital unconscious and with a high fever by 11 p.m. Secondly, elderly patients are also suffering from heat stroke in large numbers.
According to Safdarjung Hospital administration, a 50-year-old man from Noida was admitted to the hospital on the evening of June 17 due to a heat stroke. He was shifted from Noida Civil Hospital to Safdarjung Hospital. He died at 5:30 in the morning. Apart from this, a 60-year-old woman resident of Badarpur, Delhi, was also admitted to the hospital. He also died at six in the morning.
According to the Safdarjung Hospital administration, so far, 28 patients suffering from severe heat wave have been admitted to the hospital. Four patients have died so far, out of which two died last month. So far, two patients have died in RML Hospital, and one patient has died in Loknayak Hospital due to the severe heat wave.
