- Seven people died in Surat due to rain-related incidents.

The southern part of Gujarat, including Surat and Navsari, has witnessed continuous rainfall since Monday evening, leaving normal life disrupted. As many as seven people have died in separate rain-related incidents in Surat. The district administration has declared a holiday for schools and colleges tomorrow as a precautionary measure.
The extremely heavy rain fell upon Surat for a period of 12 hours between 6 am and 6 pm. The highest rainfall of 403 mm (15.8 inches) has been recorded in Kamrej of Surat. Apart from this, 357 mm (14.06 inches) has been recorded in Palsana, 311 mm (12.24 inches) in Surat city, 199 mm (7.8 inches) in Mahuva, 191 mm (7.5 inches) in Bardoli and 173 mm (6.8 inches) in Ambika.
The low-lying areas in the city were completely inundated. Waterlogging has occurred in areas including Wade Road, Udhna, and Parvat Patiya in the city. Also, the railway drains of Delhi Gate, Varachha, Kim, and Kamrej were submerged in water, bringing traffic to a standstill.

Navsari
In Navsari, the persistent torrential rainfall caused the Purna river to swell, submerging the low-level bridge connecting Soupa-Kurel. This has left 10 nearby villages without connectivity.
In addition, in view of the possibility of accidents, around 26 roads under the control of the Panchayat in Navsari district have also been closed.
Navsari taluka recorded 10.31 inches of rain, while Jalalpur received 7.76 inches and Gandevi 5.08 inches. Chikhli and Khairgam recorded 5 inches and 3.15 inches of rain, respectively. Dolvan in Tapi district received 6.18 inches and Valod 5.16 inches, raising concerns among local authorities.
Rainfall data in Central and North Gujarat
Apart from South Gujarat, rain has also been recorded in the districts of Central and North Gujarat.
- Gandhinagar: 3.5 inches in Dehgam and 1.65 inches in Mansa.
- Sabarkantha: Prantij 2.87 inches and Himmatnagar 2.17 inches.
- Aravalli: Dhansura 2.83 inches and Modasa 2.32 inches.
- Mehsana: 2.32 inches of rain was recorded in Bijapur.
