Himachal Pradesh Weather: Persistent heavy rain since Wednesday has disrupted normal life across several parts of Himachal Pradesh, with no signs of immediate relief. Over 300 roads have been closed across the state. These include two National Highways. Heavy rain over the Shrikhand hills on Wednesday afternoon triggered sudden flash floods in the Ganvi and Nanti streams of Shimla and the Kurpan stream in Kullu district's Nirmand subdivision, causing large-scale damage to infrastructure and property. The showers have destroyed multiple small bridges in Shimla and Lahaul-Spiti districts.
