Himachal Weather: The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall in Kangra, Una, Solan and Sirmaur on June 23 and 24. Rain warning has also been issued in Hamirpur, Mandi, Bilaspur and Solan. Heavy rain is expected at most places in 10 Himachal districts on June 25 and 26.
Monsoon reached Shimla, Kangra and Manali and some other areas on June 20, whereas on Sunday, it reached most places in the state including Paonta Sahib, Baddi and Una. On Sunday, heavy rain occurred at many places in the state. Kangra received the highest rainfall of 37 mm, Kasauli 30 mm, Jot 21 mm, Mandi 9.8 mm, Pachhad 5.2 mm and Shimla received 4 mm rainfall.
Due to the rain, the maximum temperature in the state has dropped by 2-5 degrees Celsius. The maximum drop in maximum temperature has been 5.4 degrees Celsius in Kukumseri, 2.6 degrees Celsius in Dhaula Kuan, while there has been an increase of 3 degrees Celsius in Sundar Nagar, jagran.com reported.

Torrential rain continued at many places in Himachal on Sunday. A person working in the field in Dadhamb village under Shahpur police station of Kangra district died due to lightning. 41-year-old Vijay Kumar was working in the field with his wife when he fell unconscious after being struck by lightning.
Due to heavy rain in the Kala Chau hill of Sainj valley in Kullu district, the open drain was flooded. The tourists who had come to visit the Rupi Raila waterfall here had to be taken to a safe place. In Manali, flood-like conditions occurred in Solanganala and surrounding areas. The water level in Anjani Mahadev drain rose. There was flood-like conditions in the last drain near Solanganala as well.
