Himachal Weather:  Some areas of Himachal Pradesh are expected to see rain and snowfall on Thursday (March 27). The weather department has issued a yellow warning of thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds in four districts. In the last 24 hours since Tuesday, there has been drizzle in Kukumseri, and Keylong and Gondhla in the tribal Lahaul and Spiti districts have seen traces of snow.

The districts of Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, and Mandi were under a yellow warning of thunderstorms with lightning and strong winds (40–50 kmph) today, according to the Meteorological Department. A few areas of Lahaul and Spiti, Chamba, Kinnaur, Kangra, Kullu, and Mandi districts, as well as a few scattered locations in Shimla, Una, Bilapsur, and Hamirpur districts, are expected to see light rain and snowfall on Thursday, March 27, according to the Met.

There was a noticeable increase in the minimum temperatures, with Keylong having the lowest nighttime temperature (0.8 degrees Celsius) and Bilaspur having the highest daytime temperature (34.6 degrees Celsius). There was no discernible shift in the highest temperatures. Between March 1 and 26, Himachal Pradesh had 75.7 mm of rain, a 25% shortfall from the usual 100.9 mm.

Meanwhile, visitors rejoice in the heavy layer of snow that covers the vicinity of the North and South portals of the 10,040-feet-high Atal Tunnel in Rohtang.

Amandeep Kaur from Punjab's Amritsar said, "The view here is captivating, and the natural beauty is worth seeing... It is no less than heaven. Everyone should definitely come here... Atal Tunnel is built really well... You can come here very smoothly. There is no danger of any kind...".
