Holi Special Trains 2026: In preparation for the anticipated surge of passengers during the Holi festival, Indian Railways has introduced special measures to ensure smooth, safe, and hassle-free travel. A total of 1,410 Holi Special trains will be operational from March 1 to March 22. Of these, 285 will be run by the East-Central Railway zone.
These special services will connect a range of destinations across the country, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, the northeastern states, and more, offering much-needed relief to passengers returning home for the festival.
Holi Special Trains 2026: Check Train Names, Routes
- Sogaria (Kota) - Danapur Special Train (09819/09817)
This service will operate on 28th February and 7th March from Sogaria, and on March 2 and March 9 from Danapur. The train will pass through Katni, Prayagraj Chivki, DDUP, Buxar, and Ara.

- Rani Kamalapati – Danapur – Rani Kamalapati Special Train (01667/01668)
This train will run on February 27 and March 2 from Rani Kamalapati, and on February 28 and March 3 from Danapur. Additionally, a Rani Kamalapati - Agartala - Rani Kamalapati Holi Special will begin operating from 5th March every Thursday, and from 8th March every Sunday. The train will pass through Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Gorakhpur University, Danapur, Patliputra, Hajipur, Barauni, and Katihar.

- Hapa - Naharlagun - Hapa Special Train (09526/09525)
This service will begin on March 4, running every Wednesday, and from March 7 every Saturday. The train will pass through Varanasi, Ballia, Chhapra, Hajipur, Barauni, and Katihar.
Passengers are encouraged to check the latest train updates by calling the Railway Helpline at 139 or by visiting the NTES web portal or mobile app. This initiative is expected to make travel during the Holi festival much more convenient for passengers.
