Howrah-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express: In a major update for the passengers, the Railways will soon operate a weekly Amrit Bharat Express train from Howrah to Anand Vihar. The train will severely boost the connectivity by cutting the travel time between the key cities, including Delhi, Lucknow, and Kolkata. The train will provide convenience to thousands of passengers of Uttar Pradesh by passing through key districts. The Railways stated that the train is designed to provide affordable and high-quality service for the passengers. It further informed that the train will connect the eastern states with the national capital.

While providing details, the Railways stated that the train number 13065, Howrah-Delhi Amrit Bharat, will depart from Howrah every Thursday at 11.10 PM and will arrive at Anand Vihar via Lucknow on Friday at 2.50 AM. On the return journey, the train will depart from Anand Vihar every Saturday at 5.15 AM and arrive at Howrah via Lucknow on Sunday at 10.50 AM. The officials stated that the weekly services will provide an additional option to the passengers of Uttar Pradesh.

The officials further stated that the train will stop at Asansol, Durgapur, Bardhaman, Bandel, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Bhabua Road, Sasaram, Dehri On Sone, Anugrah Narayan Road, Gaya, Koderma, Parasnath, NSCB Gomoh, Dhanbad, Varanasi, Jaunpur City, Sultanpur, Maharaja Bijli Pasi (Nihalgarh), Lucknow, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Gajraula, Hapur, and Ghaziabad stations.

They further stated that the train will have 20 coaches, aimed at handling a large number of passengers for the long distances. In separate news, under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS), the Ministry of Railways has taken up the massive task of modernising over 1,300 railway stations nationwide. In West Bengal alone, 101 stations are currently undergoing redevelopment, with the total project cost estimated at approximately Rs 3,600 crore.
