Delhi flights cancelled: As tensions between India and Pakistan rise after the 'Operation Sindoor' conducted in early hours of Wednesday, May 7, flight operations across the country have been severely affected for the next few days. The Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport of Delhi was also affected as military tensions led to restrictions over airspace.

As many as 22 flights were cancelled while 122 others were delayed on Wednesday, according to a report by jagran.com. The number of affected flights is expected to rise as the bilateral situation worsens. India carried out precision strikes at nine locations identified for harbouring terrorists affiliated to the Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad. These airstrikes, which used loitering munition system (LMS) to locate and target terror hubs, were carried out as a response to the deadly Pahalgam attack of April 22.
