Delhi Illegal Arms Factory: The Delhi Police said on Monday that it has busted an illegal arms factory operating in the Sarai Rohilla area of the national capital. Speaking to media persons, DCP North Delhi, Raja Banthia said the team of Sarai Rohilla Police Station has seized a huge stockpile of weapons, along with raw material.

6 Accused Arrested From Uttar Pradesh

Three people were apprehended by the team from different areas of Uttar Pradesh, following raids. Six country-made pistols, 12 country-made pistols without screw, and raw material for more than 250 pistols were seized, he added.

Two Snatchers Arrested; 7 Stolen Phones Recovered

In another development, the Delhi Police arrested a 25-year-old man, along with a scrap dealer for their alleged involvement in multiple snatching cases. The cops recovered seven stolen mobile phones from their possession.

An official on Monday said the matter came to light after a 59-year-old school teacher was targeted on August 28 in West Jyoti Nagar, and her handbag containing cash, documents and a phone was snatched.

According to police, an accused, identified as Amir, was arrested. He is a resident of New Mustafabad. Police recovered a stolen mobile phone registered in another case at Bhajanpura from his possession.

During questioning, Amir allegedly admitted to selling other stolen mobile phones to a scrap dealer. Acting on his disclosure, a raid was conducted and 19-year-old Juber, a resident of Janta Mazdoor Colony, was apprehended, the police mentioned, adding that six more mobile phones, including the one belonging to the complainant, were recovered from him. Further investigation into the case is underway.
