Iran-Israel War: Following Iran’s ballistic missile attack on Israel, the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv has advised its citizens to remain vigilant and follow the protocols recommended by the local authorities. "Please exercise caution, avoid unnecessary travel within the country, and stay near safety shelters. The Embassy is closely monitoring the situation and is in regular contact with Israeli authorities to ensure the safety of all our nationals," the embassy said in its advisory.

The Embassy also shared emergency contact information. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, it wrote, "In case of any emergency, please contact the 24/7 helpline of the Embassy:Telephone: A. +972-547520711B. +972-543278392Email: consi.telaviv@mea.gov.in.Those Indian nationals who have yet to register with the Embassy are requested to do so at the following link:https://forms.gle/ftp3DEXgJwH8XVRdA.”

The advisory was issued within hours of Iran threatening an attack on Israel in the wake of  Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah’s death in an Israeli missile attack. Iran reportedly launched over 180 missiles at Israel, Iran's state media confirmed. Following the attack, Israel's defence forces said that its nationals were already in bunkers, taking shelter from the attack.

"In response to the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Nilforooshan, we targeted the heart of the occupied territories," the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran said in a statement.

Following Tehran’s missile attack, Tel Aviv said that the attack was over and people could leave air raid shelters. "Following the situational assessment, it was decided that it is now permitted to leave protected spaces in all areas across the country," it said in a statement.

Following the attack, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed retaliation. "Iran made a big mistake tonight - and it will pay for it. The regime in Iran does not understand our determination to defend ourselves and our determination to retaliate against our enemies," he said.
