India Pakistan News Live Updates: The forward border locations in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, and Rajasthan witnessed a night of peace after four days of continuous and intense drone and missile attacks from across the border. No drones were intercepted by the Indian Air Defence Systems on May 11 or after midnight. No shelling by Pakistani troops was reported from the border areas, including Akhnoor and Poonch. After days of aggression, the two sides agreed to ceasefire on May 10.
Hours after India and Pakistan reached the understanding on stopping military actions, the bilateral agreement was breached by Islamabad as cross-border firing and drone strike resumed for a third day. In a late night media briefing on Saturday, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri called upon Pakistan to take appropriate steps to address these violations and deal with the situation with "seriousness and responsibility". Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai said the Indian Armed Forces have sent a "hotline message" to his Pakistani counterpart, highlighting "violation" of the understanding reached between the two militaries a day ago and India's "firm and clear" intent to respond to these "fiercely and punitively" if repeated later.

In the 1970s, during the Ashes between Australia and England, two Australian bowlers destroyed the batting lineup of England, and then Australia gave a proverb - "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if Thommo don't get ya, Lillee must". If you see the layers, you'll understand what I am trying to say. Even if you crossed all the layers, one of the layers of this grid system will hit you," Ghai stated.
