Aviation security watchdog Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) on Thursday has revoked the security clearance granted to Celebi Aviation, a Turkish airport ground handling company, with immediate effect. The order was issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).

The Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, posted on X, stating, “India revokes security clearance given to CELEBI, Turkish airport ground handling company, with immediate effect. Order issued by Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).”

According to Celebi's website, it provides services at nine airports, Mumbai, Delhi, Cochin, Kannur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Goa, Ahmedabad, and Chennai.
Turkey’s decision to support Pakistan during the recent India-Pakistan stand-off has sparked massive outrage against the nation. On social media, many Indians threatened to boycott Turkey after reports emerged that it supplied drones to Pakistan after India’s airstrike which was a response to the Pahlgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed on April 22.
