The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted successful trials of the BHISHM portable cubes in Agra on Tuesday, marking the first-ever test of this innovative portable hospital concept. The exercise was aimed to test the deployment capabilities of the portable hospital for quick response to any emergency situation. Their design allows for quick deployment via airdrop or ground transport, providing an immediate response capability.
The BHISHM portable cubes are a key component of ''Project BHISHM'' - Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog, Hita and Maitri. This initiative is designed to provide immediate care for up to 200 injuries, focusing on swift action and all-encompassing medical attention, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting stated.
