Bharat Gaurav Tourist Scheme: Key Details
The railway is giving a 33 per cent concession on the tickets under the Bharat Gaurav Scheme in an attempt to promote the Indian railways.
There are 767 berths in this train, which is divided into Comfort (49), Standard (70) and Economy (648), with the package starting at Rs 24,100, going up to Rs 54,390.
There will be multiple boarding stations, including Haridwar, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Lucknow, Kanpur, Orai, Virangana Lakshmibai, and Lalitpur Junction.
The ticket will also include a night stay and ‘wash and change’ at budget hotels according to the category (comfort, standard and economy) of the ticket chosen by a person.
The ticket will also cover all the meals (strictly vegetarian), travel insurance, and services of the professional tour escorts.
However, the ticket will not cover the charges for monument and temple entry, local sightseeing costs, any tips, or things bought on personal expenses. These have to be borne by the passengers themselves.
IRCTC will not provide any Darshan tickets for the Jyotirlingas throughout the journey.
Single passengers will have to share occupancy with others booked on the same category; the seating arrangement will be provided by the IRCTC 1-2 days before the start of the journey.
Passengers will have to carry a valid government-issued document at the point of boarding along with their tickets.
