Special Train Features: Indian Railways is on the brink of a new era in passenger travel with the introduction of the latest Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) push-pull rake sets. Manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, these cutting-edge rakes promise a travel experience akin to the Vande Bharat Express but within non-AC segments.

The LHB Push-Pull rake sets incorporate a distinctive design, positioning a locomotive at each end of the rake, enabling quicker acceleration and deceleration, resulting in reduced travel time. These rakes are also equipped with a range of passenger-friendly features, including comfortable seating, contemporary toilets, and improved lighting and ventilation.

The Push-Pull train, slated for a potential renaming upon its Indian Railways debut, will feature eight second-seated coaches to accommodate more passengers in the unreserved category, which should benefit migrant workers seeking affordable travel. Each second-seated coach will accommodate 100 passengers.

This train will sport aerodynamically designed locomotives at both ends—two WAP5 locomotives—facilitating swift acceleration and deceleration. Its semi-permanent couplers mean that there's no need for coupling and recoupling at every station, enhancing travel comfort and efficiency. Control couplers on the end walls will enable push-pull operations with locomotives at both ends, improving operational efficiency and reducing locomotive turnaround time.
