Do you also look for a window seat while booking a train ticket? Not getting a seat in trains according to your choice might be frustrating, especially on long route journeys. No worries! The Railways is all set to introduce a system that will allow passengers to select the seat of their choice in trains, similar to how ticket booking works for movie theaters and airplanes. This new software is nearly complete and according to the officials, once the system is ready, travellers from across the country will be able to see the list of available berths sitting in their homes. With this new software, passengers will also have the right to choose upper-lower or window seats.

You Can Check Lists From Your Home

The list of vacant berths will be available to passengers across the country and they can check it from their homes once the service comes into effect, according to representatives of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). Under the new system, passengers will also have the option to select window or upper-lower seats. Passengers will be able to access the information related to vacant seats in the train on the date of journey and their location.
