IndiGo flight disruptions: IndiGo has announced a slew of measures for the convenience of passengers as it faced the biggest ever operational disruption in decades over the last four days.

In its latest statement, the airline apologised for the cancellations, which affected thousands of passengers across the country.

IndiGo stated, "We do deeply apologize and understand how difficult the past few days have been for many of you. While this will not get resolved overnight, we assure you that we will do everything in our capacity to help you in the meantime and to bring our operations back to normal at the earliest."

As Friday came as the worst day with over 400 flight cancellations, IndiGo acknowledged it, saying that it is rebooting all its systems for improvements from tomorrow.

"Today should be the day with the highest number of cancellations, as we are doing all that is necessary to reboot all our systems and schedules for progressive improvement starting tomorrow. Our teams are working to reinstate regular operations in alignment with the Ministry and DGCA. Short-term proactive cancellations are being made to ease operations, decongest the airports to prepare for starting stronger tomorrow," it said.

Here's what IndiGo offers for customers

The airline has taken certain measures for the convenience of the passengers booked to travel in the upcoming days.

-All refunds for the cancellations will be processed automatically to the original mode of payment.

-IndiGo has offered a full waiver on all cancellations/ reschedule requests on bookings for travel between December 5 and 15.

-IndiGo has booked thousands of hotel rooms across cities for customers.

-The airline has also arranged surface transport for the convenience of customers.

-For those waiting at the airports, the airline will provide food and snacks.

-Wherever possible, the airline is arranging lounge access for senior citizens.

IndiGo Advisory for customers

-The airline has advised the customer to check the flight status on their official website and other notifications sent.

-IndiGo has also urged customers to avoid coming to the airport if their flight is cancelled.

-IndiGo has also asked customers to use the AI assistant 6Eskai to check the flight status, process refunds, and re-bookings
