A five-year-old child's gold chain was allegedly stolen by a crew member on an IndiGo flight. IndiGo is fully cooperating with the authorities and confirmed the incident. The child's mother filed a first information report (FIR) in Bengaluru, alleging that after the flight attendant led her child to the washroom, the gold chain the toddler was wearing went missing.

Priyanka Mukherjee, the complainant, said that she and her two kids were aboard IndiGo aircraft 6E 661 that was travelling from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, to Bengaluru. Her two daughters, aged two and five, were arguing as the plane took off.

The flight attendant, Aditi Ashwini Sharma, requested Mukherjee to give over the older daughter to her to quiet her while the mother attended to the younger one, at which point Mukherjee discovered that the Rs 80,000 gold necklace was missing.

“I noticed that the gold necklace, weighing around 20 grams, that my daughter wore was missing. I questioned Aditi about it, and she denied having taken it. I then escalated the matter to the Central Industrial Security Force, IndiGo, and the airport authorities," she told The Times of India.

Aditi has allegedly denied stealing the chain. The case is presently being looked into by the police.
