The continuous disruption of IndiGo Airlines flights across the country has significantly increased the woes of lakhs of passengers. On Friday alone, a large number of travelers were left stranded at various airports after more than 1,000 flights were cancelled.

In view of the situation, the Ministry of Railways has taken emergency measures and announced the operation of four special trains between key cities. Western Railway's Chief Public Relations Officer, Vineet Abhishek, issued a press release providing detailed information regarding these operations.

These special trains are being run to facilitate passengers and meet the surge in travel demand. They will operate on special fares on the Mumbai Central-Bhiwani, Mumbai Central-Shakur Basti, Bandra Terminus-Durgapura, and Valsad-Bilaspur routes.

Details Of The Special Trains

1. Train No. 09001 and 09002 Mumbai Central Bhiwani Superfast Special (Bi-weekly, Total 14 Trips)

Train 09001 (Mumbai to Bhiwani):

  • Departure: Every Tuesday and Friday at 10:30 hrs.
  • Arrival: Bhiwani at 13:00 hrs the next day.
  • Period: December 9 to December 30, 2025.

Train 09002 (Bhiwani to Mumbai):

  • Departure: Every Wednesday and Saturday at 14:35 hrs.
  • Arrival: Mumbai Central at 16:30 hrs the next day.
  • Period: December 10 to December 31, 2025.
  • Station Halts: Borivali, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Bijainagar, Nasirabad, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Gandhi Nagar Jaipur, Bandikui, Alwar, Rewari, Kosli, and Charkhi Dadri.
  • Coach Composition: AC-3 Tier, Sleeper, and General Second Class.

2. Train No. 09003/09004 Mumbai Central Shakur Basti Superfast Special (Total 32 Trips)

Train 09003 (Mumbai to Shakur Basti):

  • Departure: Daily (except Tuesday and Friday) at 10:30 hrs.
  • Arrival: Shakur Basti at 08:00 hrs the next day.
  • Period: December 8 to December 29, 2025.

Train 09004 (Shakur Basti to Mumbai):

  • Departure: Daily (except Wednesday and Saturday) at 10:15 hrs.
  • Arrival: Mumbai Central at 10:30 hrs the next day.
  • Period: December 9 to December 30, 2025.
  • Station Halts: Borivali, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Ratlam, Nagda, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindaun City, Bharatpur, Mathura, Kosi Kalan, and Delhi Safdarjung.
  • Coach Composition: AC-3 Tier, Sleeper, and General Second Class.

3. Train No. 09730/09729 Bandra Terminus Durgapura Superfast Special (2 Trips)

  • Train 09730 (Bandra to Durgapura):
  • Departure: Monday, December 8 2025 at 10:00 hrs.
  • Arrival: 05:30 hrs the next day.

Train 09729 (Durgapura to Bandra):

  • Departure: Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 12:25 hrs.
  • Arrival: 07:00 hrs the next day.
  • Station Halts: Borivali, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Ratlam, Nagda, Bhawani Mandi, Ramganj Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, and BanasthaliNiwai.

4. Train No. 08244/08243 Valsad Bilaspur Special (Total 8 Trips)

Train 08244 (Valsad to Bilaspur):

Train 08243 (Bilaspur to Valsad):

  • Departure: Every Thursday at 16:00 hrs.
