IndiGo Flight Cancellations: IndiGo has issued a travel advisory, warning passengers of potential flight disruptions due to early-morning fog expected to affect Delhi and several other parts of northern India on Sunday.

At least 129 flights were cancelled at Delhi airport on Saturday due to dense fog. Flight operations have been affected for several days at Delhi and other airports due to the dense fog, resulting in low visibility conditions.

According to the official, at least 66 arrivals and 63 departures were cancelled due to the low visibility. "Low Visibility Procedures are currently in progress at Delhi Airport. All flight operations are functioning normally," said Delhi airport operator DIAL in a post on X during the afternoon.

IndiGo warned that early-morning fog could reduce visibility, potentially leading to delays or changes in flight schedules.

The airline stated that its operations teams would remain on high alert through the night, closely monitoring the weather on a minute-by-minute basis to minimise any disruption for passengers. IndiGo also thanked passengers for their patience, acknowledging the inconvenience caused by seasonal weather conditions.

"Early-morning fog is expected to affect visibility across Delhi and parts of northern India. During these hours, visibility can suddenly reduce, impacting flight operations," the advisory read.

The airline encouraged travellers to check the latest flight status before heading to the airport using the provided link (bit.ly/3ZWAQXd). Affected passengers can rebook or request a refund via IndiGo’s official website (goindigo.in/plan-b.html).

IndiGo reassured customers of its commitment to providing timely updates and ensuring smooth travel despite challenging weather. "We will remain vigilant and will do everything we can to keep your journey moving smoothly. Thank you for your patience and understanding," the airline's statement concluded.

Dense fog is a common occurrence in northern India during the winter months, particularly in the early mornings. The fog often disrupts air, rail, and road transport.

In a fresh advisory issued at 7 am, the airport asked passengers to contact their respective airlines for the latest flight updates.

Meanwhile, four flights were cancelled at Srinagar Airport. Among them, three flights to and from Amritsar and Delhi were cancelled due to adverse weather conditions in those cities.
