IndiGo Flight Cancellations Refund Status: IndiGo has cancelled more than 60 flights from Bengaluru Airport on Wednesday, despite CEO Pieter Elbers' statement on December 9 that the airline’s operations were back on track. The airline has faced widespread cancellations across the country after failing to adequately plan for stricter safety regulations

According to news agency PTI, IndiGo cancelled 61 flights on Wednesday, including 35 arrivals and 26 departures. The airline typically operates around 2,300 flights daily. IndiGo has assured passengers that its staff are working to normalise operations, reduce delays, and provide assistance during this challenging time.

This has caused significant disruption for passengers, driven up airfares on other domestic carriers, and led to chaos at airports nationwide.

Under the Civil Aviation Ministry's passenger charter, airlines are obligated to compensate passengers for delays or cancellations in specific situations. Additionally, airlines must provide compensation automatically, without passengers needing to request it.
