IndiGo Chaos: The country's largest airline IndiGo, already facing unprecedented flight delays, received two bomb threats within a few hours on Thursday, prompting two aircraft to make emergency landings. In the fresh bomb threat, the Hyderabad-bound plane had to make an emergency landing at the Mumbai airport, HT reported. The plane took off from Sharjah and was on the way to Hyderabad when it recieved the threat mid-air.
IndiGo Madinah-Hyderabad Flight Diverted To Ahmedabad
Earlier today, an IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad around 12:30 pm after receiving a bomb threat. The Flight from Madinah in Saudi Arabia to Hyderabad had to divert to Ahmedabad.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4) Atul Bansal said the flight landed safely at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport here around 12:30 pm, and all passengers and crew were deboarded to conduct a thorough search of the plane.

"Today, an Indigo flight from Medina to Hyderabad made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad Airport. This was because a threatening email about the flight was received at Hyderabad Airport. All investigative agencies are investigating. Hyderabad Police are investigating it. No suspicious activity by any passenger has been reported yet," Bansal added.

When the flight was on its way to Hyderabad from Madinah, someone sent an email to IndiGo claiming that a bomb had been planted on the aircraft, he added. Since Ahmedabad was the closest airport, the pilot decided to land here as a precautionary measure, said Bansal.
IndiGo Cancels Over 300 Flights
Meanwhile, IndiGo on Thursday cancelled more than 300 domestic and international flights at Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and other airports, as operational disruptions continued for the third day, impacting the travel plans of hundreds of passengers.
A significant number of IndiGo flights were also delayed at various airports, as crew woes and adjustments to schedules weighed on the operations of the airline, which is known for its punctuality.
