IndiGo To Suspend Flights To Copenhagen From Feb 17, Reduce Delhi-London, Manchester-Bound Air Services

Indian carrier IndiGo on Wednesday announced significant revisions to its long-haul flight schedule, citing the need to stabilise operations amid mounting external constraints. As part of these adjustments, the airline will suspend all services to Copenhagen effective February 17 and reduce the number of flights to London and Manchester.

Why IndiGo Said On Flight Operations?

In a statement, IndiGo said that its wide-body operations, currently operated by six Boeing 787-9 aircraft, have faced increasing pressure from geopolitical airspace restrictions and congestion at airports in India and overseas. These factors have increased flight and block times, straining the existing schedule.

To prevent cascading delays and ensure passenger convenience, the airline said that it would take immediate corrective measures to restore on-time performance and operational reliability.

IndiGo Revises Long-Haul Flight Schedule

As a part of these network adjustments, IndiGo will suspend flights to Copenhagen starting February 17 till further notice. The carrier has also announced to scale down its Delhi-Manchester services from five weekly flights to four on February 7, with a further reduction to three by February 19.

This move, which brings total Manchester services down from nine weekly flights to seven, was originally slated for the Summer Schedule 2026 but has been advanced to safeguard the stability of the airline's broader long-haul network.

Additionally, starting February 9, Delhi-London Heathrow services will be trimmed from five to four flights per week for the current winter schedule. In a bid to ensure smoother operations and better recovery times for aircraft, the carrier is also adjusting operational days on certain routes.
