IRCTC Down:  The IRCTC website is apparently experiencing an outage once again today, Saturday. Down detector reported an increase in issue reports, with 36 percent relating to the app, 30 percent to the website, and 35 percent to ticketing.

Several users complained on X about being unable to login, with some taking screenshots of the website page displaying an error notice stating, “Booking and cancellation for all sites will not be available for the next hour. Inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.”

"IRCTC Down !! Users Are Unable To Book Tickets As Website Faces First Outage Of 2025 ! The website was previously down just before New Year so this marks the second instance of service disruption in less than two weeks," one user posted on X.

Another user said, "#IRCTC is down exactly during tatkal time. If i could not find online only available Premium tatakal tickets once the site is back. Then its clearly a big SCAM during festive period !!"

This is not a new issue, the IRCTC website has had several failures in recent months. In December alone, three large outages were observed. The repeated occurrence of these difficulties calls into doubt India's digital infrastructure, which supports such an essential function.

How To Book Tickets During Outages

Use the Mobile App:  When the website is unavailable, the mobile app may still work.

Contact Customer Support:  For quick assistance, call 14646 or email etickets@irctc.co.in.

Check Third-Party Services:  Even if IRCTC is unavailable, certain third-party travel websites may still accept bookings.
