IRCTC SwaRail App launch: In a welcome move for railway passengers, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has officially launched the much-awaited SwaRail app on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Designed to simplify travel-related services, this all-in-one app has been developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) and is being hailed as a 'SuperApp' for bringing nearly all IRCTC services under one roof. Marking a major upgrade over the ageing IRCTC Rail Connect App, SwaRail is now accessible to the public, although it's currently in its beta version.
"This app integrates various services offered by Indian Railways, which are currently available on separate mobile apps, into a single user interface, ensuring seamless navigation," the Ministry of Railways had stated.
