Israel Embassy 'Blast': The Delhi Police will look into "end-to-end encryopted calls" of mobile numbers active near the Embassy of Israel as part of the investigation into an alleged blast that took place near the mission's premises on Tuesday, sources cited by news agency PTI said.

"It is hard to trace end-to-end encrypted calls, but with special investigative techniques and dump of nearby numbers, we can trace who were near and around the area where a low-intensity blast occurred," a senior police official said under the condition of anonimity. Two suspects were captured by CCTV cameras, ANI said in its report.

According to ANI's sources, the duo have been identified. "Two persons are seen roaming in the area in CCTV footage. Their role in the 'blast' call incident is not yet clear. We are trying to ascertain their identity and what were they doing in the area at the time of the call. Things will become clear only after their questioning," they stated.

The National Investigation Agency has already opened an investigation into the alleged explosion, which was reported to the police around 6 pm on Tuesday. A team of NIA officials, along with the Delhi Special Cell and Dog Squad, reached the Israeli Embassy on Wednesday morning and initiated a probe into the alleged 'blast' call incident.

Delhi police found a letter addressed to the Israeli ambassador near the Israel Embassy on Tuesday evening in connection with the 'blast' call. "A letter has been written in English to the Israeli Embassy in which threatening words are used. The group whose name is written on the letter is Sir Allah Resistance," ANI quoted its sources as saying.

Reports of a blast was confirmed by Israeli diplomats hours after the alleged incident took place. "This evening several minutes after 5, an explosion occurred in close proximity of the Embassy. All our diplomats and workers are safe. Our security teams are working in full cooperation with local Delhi security and they will investigate the matter further," Deputy Ambassador of Israel to India, Ohad Nakash Kaynar had said.

A security guard stationed near the embassy said, "I heard a loud noise at around 5 pm. The noise was similar to a tyre burst. I also saw smoke going up near a tree." However, ANI's sources in the special cell said that no such blast occurred there.
