Israel-Hamas War: India recently reiterated its long-standing stance on the decades-old Israel-Palestine conflict by voicing its support, once again, for the two-state solution during a multilateral gathering hosted by Saudi Arabia.
Pushing for the cessation of the ongoing hostilities between Israeli forces and Hamas militants in the Palestinian exclave of Gaza, India's ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Suhel Khan, said dialogue and diplomacy were crucial for the implementation of the two-state solution. The remark came during the meeting of the 'Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution' in Riyadh.
"Ambassador of India to KSA Dr Suhel Khan attended the meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution in Riyadh from Oct. 30-31. He reiterated India's strong support for ceasefire, de-escalation & dialogue & diplomacy leading to two-state solution," India's Embassy in Riyadh posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Thursday (October 31).

Throughout the course of the Israel-Hamas war, India has repeatedly called for a ceasefire between the warring sides, the unconditional release of all the hostages held by Hamas, and the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

New Delhi has also repeatedly condemned the Hamas attack that triggered the war last year. According to an update provided by Hamas-ruled Gaza's health ministry on Thursday, at leats 43,204 Palestinians have lost their lives so far as a result of Israel's military offensive.
