Jaipur Murder Case: A 23-year-old final-year LLB student has been arrested for allegedly plotting her mother's murder by hiring contract killers and staging the crime as a road accident. As the investigation unfolds, a new allegation has emerged, with the accused's uncle claiming that she may have also played a role in her father's death last year.
The accused, identified as Ayushi, allegedly plotted the murder conspiracy with her cousin, Balram, and paid contract killers Rs 7 lakh to kill her mother, Neeraj Sharma. Police said the plan was to run her over with an SUV and make the killing appear to be an accident.
Government job and family property
The deceased, identified as Neeraj Sharma, a clerk at a Jaipur court, had secured her government job on compassionate grounds after the death of her husband, Vijay Sharma, who served as a court master. Vijay died last year following a prolonged illness, according to an NDTV report.

Police said Ayushi allegedly wanted to inherit her mother's government job and also gain control of the family's property. Neeraj Sharma was fatally run over by a speeding Scorpio SUV on July 3 while returning home after dropping her younger son at a coaching centre in Jaipur.
Investigators also revealed that an earlier attempt to kill Neeraj Sharma had been made about a month before the murder but was unsuccessful due to heavy traffic.
Uncle alleges she was involved in father's death
Ayushi's maternal uncle, Rakesh Sharma, has alleged that she was also responsible for her father's death.
According to him, Ayushi and her cousin Balram shifted Vijay Sharma to an unidentified hospital after he suffered a brain stroke and kept the rest of the family unaware of his treatment for nearly three months. Whenever Neeraj Sharma questioned her daughter about his condition, Ayushi allegedly claimed that he had been admitted to a private hospital.
After Vijay Sharma was eventually brought home, doctors reportedly informed the family that several of his organs were failing.
Rakesh Sharma has further alleged that Ayushi removed her father's feeding tube, leading to his death. Police have not confirmed the allegation but said they are investigating the claim while questioning Ayushi, who remains in custody.
Search on for cousin
Police are searching for Balram, who is suspected to be a key conspirator in the case. According to police officials, Ayushi, Balram and Balram's father, Mohan, allegedly planned Neeraj Sharma's murder and intended to divide the family's property among themselves.
Police also claimed that Ayushi had previously assaulted her mother and had been staying with Mohan and Balram for some time. Investigators further alleged that Ayushi was in a relationship with Balram.
So far, police have arrested five alleged contract killers, including Hemant, Akash, Mohit, Arvind and Rohit, while Balram remains absconding.
