In a shocking incident, a nine-year-old girl died by suicide after jumping from the fourth floor of a private school in Rajasthan's Jaipur. The tragic incident took place on November 1.
The CCTV footage captured the incident, showing the girl climbing the railing before jumping. The parents of the minor girl have now blamed the teacher for ignoring their complaints about their daughter.
According to a report by India Today, the deceased student's mother, Shivani, alleged that their daughter was bullied in school and she had informed the teacher about it. Despite this, no action was taken.
Victim's father Vijay cited an incident at a parent-teacher meeting, saying that a boy was making gestures at the victim.
He said that he brought up the incident to the class teacher, who dismissed it. He alleged that the teacher asked the girl to understand that it was a co-ed school.
The parents have also expressed dissatisfaction with the police probe. A family member of the girl has claimed that the girl had been complaining about the bullying for almost a year.
Even on the day of her death, CCTV show her approaching the teacher four times, yet no action was taken. Based on the family's complaint, an FIR has been registered against the school. The family has claimed the death to have taken place under suspicious circumstances.
