Jammu-Kashmir Weather: The weather in Jammu & Kashmir is expected to remain unstable, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting rain until August 15. After light showers on Sunday morning, the region experienced humid conditions throughout the day. The maximum temperature in Jammu reached 32.7 degrees C, staying above normal.

According to the Meteorological Centre in Srinagar, fluctuating weather will continue in the coming days. Many areas in the Jammu division are expected to witness hot and humid conditions, although light to heavy rainfall is likely in some regions.

Jammu Kashmir Weather: Rain Forecast Till August 15

Srinagar and surrounding regions are experiencing cloudy conditions, with temperatures around 24 degrees C. The forecast indicates the possibility of light to moderate rain and thundershowers, particularly during the late night and early morning hours. Residents and travelers should remain cautious, as sudden weather changes may impact travel plans.

As per Jagran.com, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected in several parts of the Jammu division from Tuesday. Isolated heavy showers are also predicted. The Kashmir division may see rain in the late night or early morning hours during this period.

The IMD has warned of the possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in some areas. Between August 12 and 15, heavy rainfall may lead to sudden flooding, flash floods, landslides, mudslides, and rockfalls, particularly in vulnerable and hilly regions.

Authorities advise residents and visitors to stay alert for weather updates and exercise caution, especially in areas prone to landslides and flash floods. Avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rainfall, and ensure that emergency kits are prepared in case of sudden weather-related disruptions.
