Jagran Correspondent, Simdega: In a tragic accident in Jharkhand's Simdega, five members of a family died on the spot after their speeding SUV lost control and rammed into a roadside tree The collision left the vehicle completely mangled.

The deceased have been identified as 58-year-old Ghulam Mustafa, a resident of Lohardaga, his 55-year-old wife Gulshan Parween, and their three children. Other members of the family who were in the car were injured in the accident and have been referred to RIMS (Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences) after receiving first aid.

According to the preliminary information, Ghulam Mustafa was travelling to Lasiya village with his daughters, Hina Parween and Neha Parween, and their children. It was reported that one of his daughters' in-laws resides in Lasiya, where his son-in-law runs a footwear shop.

Meanwhile, Hina Parween, Neha Parween, a child named Umar Nawaz, and the driver, Akram Khalifa, were injured and have been referred to RIMS Ranchi.

After the incident, Kolebira MLA Naman Bixal Kongari, Simdega MLA Bhushan Bara, and other public representatives expressed their deep condolences.

Several representatives of the Muslim community also arrived at the Sadar Hospital to console the grieving family and assured them of all possible support. They stated that the entire community stands with the affected family.

Post-mortem examination conducted

The post-mortem examination was conducted on Thursday night itself. Considering the sensitivity of the matter, the Deputy Commissioner directed that all necessary arrangements for the post-mortem be ensured.
